Rally Dakar 2027 in Morocco: ride it with GAS&FUN

And you can be there: riding the tracks of Morocco, watching the riders race past and stepping into the bivouac where the teams sleep and work. We’re preparing the trip, on your own bike or on ours, and we take care of everything so all you have to do is ride.

There’s no official route yet, so we’re not selling places: we’re opening a list. Everyone on it will be the first to see the programme and will get priority and a launch price.

Two ways to ride

On your own bike

Your trail bike, your way of riding. We take care of the route, the guides, the support van with a mechanic, accommodation and the ferry.

On our bike

No need to ride thousands of kilometres or ship your own bike. One of our prepared adventure bikes (KTM 890 Adventure R, Yamaha Ténéré 700…) will be waiting for you, ready for the desert. Perfect if you’re flying in.

The Dakar returns to Africa: what we know (and what we don’t)

Updated: 26 October 2026.

It’s now official: on 25 October, the organisers (A.S.O.) and the Saudi federation announced in a joint statement that the Dakar 2027 will not be held in Saudi Arabia, for security reasons. It will return there in 2028 for its 50th edition.
What everyone expects: the new host will be Morocco, with around twelve stages, including a marathon stage, and a possible start in Spain or Portugal.
Still to be confirmed: the country, the dates (8-9 to 22 January 2027 are being reported), the stages and the start city. The announcement is expected in the coming days.
What we’ll do: as soon as the route is published, we’ll finalise the programme and tell the list first. We’ll keep this page updated.

We come from racing. We’re the Ortiz family: Motos Ortiz since 1970 and Moto Club Ortiz. The Dakar is in our blood.
We start from Marbella and we know Morocco by motorcycle.
Small groups, with guides who ride with you, not a convoy of hundreds of bikes.

Is it official that the Dakar 2027 will be in Morocco?

It’s official that it’s leaving Saudi Arabia: the organisers announced it on 25 October 2026. Morocco as the new host is taken for granted by the media, but the official announcement is still to come. We’ll update this page as soon as it arrives.

Do I have to pay anything to join the list?

No. The list is free and with no commitment. When the programme is ready, you’ll hear from us first and can decide whether to book.

Will we visit the bivouac?

Yes, a visit to the riders’ bivouac is part of the trip. The type of access will depend on what the race organisers allow.

Do I have to carry my luggage on the bike?

No. Your luggage travels in our support van, which also carries a mechanic and spare parts.

Where do we cross to Morocco?

We start from Marbella and take the ferry from the same port as the rally caravan. We will confirm it once the official route is out.

Can I bring my own motorcycle?

Yes. You can come on your own trail bike or on one of ours. Just tell us in the form.

What riding level do I need?

We’ll adapt the routes to the group. In the desert you’ll want to be comfortable on gravel; if you’re just starting, we’ll tell you honestly and help you get ready.

How much will it cost?

There’s no price yet: it depends on the final dates and stages. Everyone on the list will get a launch price.
