Along the way, we will traverse white-washed villages frozen in time, providing a stark contrast to the red earth and cinematic “Badlands” of Almería.

Day 1

The Vertical Ascent – From the Tropical Coast to the Roof of the Peninsula (185 km)

The expedition kicks off with the roar of engines at sea level in Almuñécar. But the tropical relaxation is short-lived. Within minutes, we will leave the tarmac to begin one...

... of the most dizzying climbs in Europe. On this first day, we defy gravity, riding up winding tracks that cross deep valleys and pine forests guarding the Sierra Nevada National Park. As we gain altitude, the air becomes thinner and the landscape more alpine. This stage is designed to connect with your machine, adjust your riding to the mountain terrain, and understand the magnitude of the relief we are about to conquer. We will sleep under one of the clearest skies on the continent, surrounded by the majesty of high peaks, preparing for what is to come.

Day 2

The Clay Colossus – Total Immersion in the Gorafe Desert (210 km)

We will navigate through the labyrinth of its famous Badlands, an untamed territory of canyons, ridges, and red clay gullies that will make you feel in the heart of the Grand Canyon. The terrain here is demanding, visually explosive, and extremely fun. Riding along the edge of its plateaus and descending into its ravines is an experience that redefines the concept of Trail adventure. After a day of pure navigation among impossible colored strata and ancient geological formations, we will head towards Baza. The sunset light over the badlands will accompany us to our rest, with our retinas full of an intense red that you will hardly forget.

Day 3

The Mediterranean Leap – From the Dust of Tabernas to the Blue of Cabo de Gata (195 km)

We wake up in the High Plains with a clear objective: to reach the sea. But first, we must conquer the second desert of our journey. We head south to...

... enter the legendary Tabernas Desert, the natural setting for Hollywood's greatest westerns. Riding through its dry and sandy "ramblas" is a technical challenge that demands fluidity and concentration. It is the territory where dust and cinema history merge under your wheels. But the great reward comes after the heat of the riverbeds. We will cross the last mountain passes to see how the deep blue of the Mediterranean suddenly breaks into the horizon. We will descend to the Cabo de Gata Natural Park, where the desert turns volcanic and merges with wild beaches. Sleeping by the sea tonight, with salt on our faces after crossing two of the most arid deserts in Europe in 48 hours, is the definitive "Wow Effect" of this expedition.

Day 4

The Balcony of the Alpujarra – A Return to the Freshness of History (180 km)

On our penultimate stage, we wake up to the sea breeze to head into the foothills of Sierra Nevada. We leave the coast behind to climb towards the mystical Alpujarra....

... The landscape change is radical and comforting. From the volcanic and arid environment, we will move to riding through valleys irrigated by the melting snow of the peaks. We will navigate tracks that wind between centennial olive trees, almond trees, and Moorish irrigation channels that still function today. It is a day of thermal and visual contrasts, where the green of the vegetation and the white of the villages clinging to the hillsides will give us a breather after the harshness of the previous days. We will finish in the area of Órgiva and Lanjarón, the natural balcony of Sierra Nevada, enjoying mountain hospitality and gastronomy.

Day 5

Descent of the Giants – The Finish Line over the Ocean (80 km)

Our last day is a gift for the senses, an epic farewell of 80 km of pure visual pleasure. From the heart of the Alpujarra, we will begin the final...

... descent searching for sea level once again. It is not a direct descent, but a scenic route designed to savor every curve and every mid-mountain track, with the Mediterranean always as a backdrop. It is the moment to assimilate the magnitude of what has been achieved: we have crossed snowy peaks, red deserts, cinematic "ramblas," and volcanic coasts. Around 5:30 PM, we will re-enter Almuñécar, closing a perfect circle of 770 km. The feeling of victory upon reaching the beach, having conquered every possible ecosystem of the southern peninsula, is the perfect end to the epic adventure of the Two Deserts.
